@sortius @catpunk @clacksee The mirror doesn't tell the truth: there is no truth about somebody being "more beautiful" than somebody else. It is at most a highly subjective matter, and even if there was some absolute scale of beauty clearly it would be absurd to compare a young girl with a mature lady. So it's impossible for the mirror to tell the truth. Rather, it provides something that's supposedly an external point of view, while only amplifying (well, mirroring) the queen's view.
@sortius @catpunk @clacksee No, the fact that Snow White is more beatiful than here is exactly what the queen wants to hear, so that she feels enabled in her seek for revenge. She already hates Snow White, she feels threatened, and the mirror merely reflects that (as mirrors are supposed to do, after all).
@vagrantc I think betting on the unenforceability of a license is a losing side. It makes the life harder for the good actors who care about licenses because you never know if in the end it's going to be enforceable or not, and what you can do with it for real. It doesn't hurt the bad actors that ignore the license anyway. I'm not sure it's a win.

@lindsey @regehr It's a risk. If the ink diffuses a little bit, or the printer is not perfectly calibrated, your defense is rejected. They'll bring in calipers to check.
@thesquirrelfish I don't think the situation is that dire, though it might be that I am just luckier; but even if it is, that just reinforces my original point: we can't one dream of a job that pays decently and is positive to the society? Your own toot looks like a good example of how to do it.

@thesquirrelfish I don't think I agree. A baker baking good bread makes my life nicer; a cleaning person that cleans where I live makes my life nicer; my kids' teachers make their life (and therefore mine, since I care about them) nicer. Why wouldn't you consider those jobs? They really look like jobs to me.

It's possible that not everybody receives the opportunity to have a socially positive job. But why can't you dream of one?

@redsad Why wouldn't you? Making somebody else's life nicer with your work seems a desirable thing to me.
@navi Don't. Normalize force pushing to development branches.
