When I do a #ThreatModeling session, I am often confronted with a customer relying 100% on a single cloud provider (usually Azure).
I always ask the question: "What do you do if Microsoft turns off your account tomorrow?" I usually get an empty stare and a long silence in response.
The story shows how a single mistake in some automated system (Apple, in this case) on another continent can wreck you.
From my archives... this is what the command center of a mid-1990s dialup ISP looked like.
Later iterations would be more advanced, but this is how it started. A natural progression and leap of faith from the multi-line BBS it replaced.
