Indie devs: any of y'all ever gone with a publisher, and did you feel you came away from it doing ok?
idk, the idea of compounding Steam's already ridiculous 30% cut with a publisher cut on top of that feels like a recipe for getting bilked. But I'd be happy to be wrong.

@rocky1138@dosgame.club I've been having conversations with a fellow dev all morning, and I'm starting to consider the idea of hiring someone for PR. A publisher is probably out of the question -- I do have a specific publisher in mind that I would love to court, but considering Steam takes 30% as it is, that doesn't seem worth it as a first-time indie.
