It is deeply fucking ironic for an American President to be accusing LULA of sham political trials given the VOLUMUOUS amount of evidence THREE US presidents backed what amounted to a soft judicial coup against Lula's party which DIRECTLY lead to Bolsonaro's reign.

It was there too. Just in more deniable ways. There's still suspicion about the economic crisis in 1988/1989: kind of a soft coup against Alfonsín and a campaign to shoehorn in a US-friendly replacement. Don't know that much about Uruguay.
