@HopelessDemigod Well, apparently my description of this person violates the server rules here so if this account disappears I can also be found at [email protected]
@NO5IG @n6cta It occurs to me that most camera bags shoulder bags would work quite well for portable / QRP rigs + gear. I'm not inspired by any of Tenba's current-year offerings but they're all the right size with good padding.
@NO5IG Fingers crossed! We'll see how well it works once I start operating. The Tom Bihn cafe bag looks like it might it also might be a good fit, but like that wallet briefcase it's $$$. I imagine I'll be visiting that place in Adams to make my own bag at some point.
@HopelessDemigod Completely unpredictable and clearly and outlier. Shocked, shocked, I tell you. /s
@HopelessDemigod Not this time, but I have heard this dude on other repeaters, giving a call sign + participating in convos. Of course I can't remember the callsign. I think he's a known entity to local clubs here and folks know who he is.

@zoracon Machines for Freedom was the main brand that carried more diverse body shape offerings than the industry standard, but they just got bought out by Specialized, who announced they are shutting the brand down. πŸ˜” However, I'm told there's still a fair bit of stock left out there.

All Bodies on Bikes & Black Girls Do Bike are likely good resources on where to get bike clothes that fit folks other than TdF participants.

Oh dear a DOWM (drunk old white man) maliciously QRM'ing a net on a local 2m repeater tonight, repeatedly breaking in and going "What IS this?", grunting, moaning over other operators. I've heard this voice elsewhere on other local repeaters. πŸ˜• Pretty sure the guy is licensed too. #HamRadio #VHF #2m #QRM
@n6cta Now that I think of it maybe I should just look for a used A600 again and have 50mm or 35mm pancake live on that. The bokeh I got with the 1.5x scaling on the sensor made for some of the best photos I ever took. πŸ˜‚
@n6cta I hear you. While I'm not into film (yet) I am tempted to get a used RX100 or the equivalent Ricoh under the logic that "the best camera is the one you have on you" and I refuse to spend KX3/FT-891 kind of money on a phone just to take pictures just on principal. Right now a 50mm Nikkor lives on the A7Rii and while I love it it's definitely a bit bulky for hiking / biking.

@n6cta That is the exact camera I bought this for several years ago! πŸ˜‚

I upgraded to an A7Rii a few years later and while I love this bag I don’t use it when I’m out hiking as much as a cube that goes in my pack, or an old compact LowePro SLR case from 20+ years ago.
