Isolation isn't being unable to go to brunch for a few weeks. Many disabled, immunocompromised, and higher risk people can't even access medical care safely due to the current lack of COVID protections. This is the kind of isolation that we desperately need to address.
@luckytran I'm appalled to see medical professionals unmasked, coughing, obviously ill, treating immune compromised patients with zero regard for the potential consequences. Yes, the patient can mask (maybe, cost and access might be a factor) but why is the full burden on them in even this most extreme situation? Why can't even the most minimal effort be made to improve patient safety?
It's ridiculous how much attention is given to those complaining about restrictions that haven't existed for over 2 years.
Meanwhile, complete silence about excluding disabled and higher risk people from most of society indefinitely due to the current lack of COVID protections.
There are multiple American journalists imprisoned in Russia for carrying out the real job of being a journalist. And while they are wrongfully detained on decades long prison sentences, Tucker Carlson offers The Kremlin to interview Vladimir Putin, ask the questions Putin wants to hear, and branding this as “journalism” to the American people.
And Elon Musk is hosting it, trying to make money on Putin’s propaganda.
I really hope these two shameless grifters experience a serious case of karma.
