Oh, Always On mode?

Tap the compass to make your phone full brightness and prevent it from sleeping (interact in any way again to return to normal)

It's how I made this time-lapse over 24 hours... The arrow points to the centre of the galaxy 26,000 light years away. Over 24 hours we turn and turn and turn đź’«

Galactic Compass now has new dark and tinted icons for #iOS18 plus a new “Always On” mode

Free on the App Store today!

I just... feel like I caught the end of something special... on my own blog?

New blog post!

I wrote about why I have cursor chat and real-time shared text highlighting on my homepage

It's a kind of cosy togetherness that the whole web should have

Oh, and what happens when it goes wrong and why that matters too.

(There's also a link for you to get the code and install it yourself)

New version of Galactic Compass now on the App Store (version 1.4) 💫 With a new setting to show the horizon and ecliptic in the compass, plus dark mode… and, on the debug screen, an experimental chart that shows “galaxyrise” and “galaxyset.” Yes I made up those words haha

Galactic Compass work in progress…

I’ve re-jigged the way it draws to the screen. Now there’s an option to show the horizon and the ecliptic

Not sure where that Settings button should go though 🤔

(lmk me your Apple ID if you’d like to get TestFlight betas)

oooooooops

My phone *can* run computer vision models in the browser, it just doesn’t want to for an hour

hahaha
