Hey, whatever happened to the workers union at Big Cartel? Only trace left of it seems to be PR when they were recognized. If you worked there, I’d love some info. Disclosure: I went to college with a BC cofounder’s wife, but they won’t talk about it.
Please follow this account that organizes fundraisers for trans and other at-risk folks to get out of hostile states. @gtfomystate #transrightsarehumanrights
Whoa, hello to all the new comrades. I have a horrifying story of the past month of dealing with a neurotic landlord, but just to remind you: no one should profit off of you having shelter, capitalism is an inherently dehumanizing system, and fuck landlords.

@ducker likely someone either using a stolen card (and checking to see if it’s been cancelled) or a scam of using a stolen card or gift card, and sending it somewhere that passes the real address by mistyped smell test, then contacting support that it never arrived (and thus getting a refund). Most likely the first.

Also, Chewy are good peoples. Their CMO used to be my boss. (One of the rare good ones)

Yes please! We had one snuck into our equity agreements once (sign the noncompete or don’t get the shares) and I lost what little trust I had in the employer.

A sweeping proposal by the Federal Trade Commission would block companies from limiting their employees’ ability to work for a rival.

some more #trekposting for yall since it seems you can't get enough of it
@bethanb90 I’m genuinely sad my wife didn’t bring out our Darwin ornament this year.

@veirling I found it fascinating the group that backed the addition of 7 sick days included both the typical progressives (Bernie, et al) but the 6 GOP that joined them were folks I never imagined supporting workers (Cruz, Rubio, Graham).

Still doesn’t make me like Cruz as my senator, but the close approximation of humanity was interesting.

@theghostoftomjoad care to mention (without technically @ mentioning) who the bad actor is?
@rbreich I work for a company (whom I do not speak for) that does massive business with the USPS, and the changes made under deJoy make no sense other that to hobble the service and lower its competitive advantage against rival shipment providers (whom he is a shareholder in, btw).
