I'm in the stage of cold where the coughing sucks, I don't want to be sick, and I'm still tired. Not as tired as covid, though. I was holding Ralph this morning for his morning snuggle, and my fever broke. Ralph's been hovering between the Hoopy Frood and I, since we've both been sick.

I'm extremely leery of these age-verification laws happening. It's too slippery of a slope with our current administration. I sounded the alarm about period tracking aps back when Roe v. Wade was struck down, and it turned out a way to track women's bodies. I don't think I'm being paranoid how these laws can become something way more insidious.

So many people run slackpkg clean-system every day. Do they really have time to rebuild all their 3rd party packages every day?
America is like an apartment complex. It's constantly being bought out by people you never heard of, the rules are always changing, no one can reach the management, and maintenance hasn't been seen in a while. But if you're late with rent, the cops will fuck you up and they'll make you homeless.
One thing I like about Mastodon is that people still post their fun things, pet pictures, and art. It's not all void screaming like bluesky.
I just wish my admin hadn't disabled the feeds, because I'd discover more cool things and people that way. :(
Maybe it's perimenopause, but I do not have the time for the kinds of assholes rampant in LQN lately. At least Mastodon seems to be a relatively sane place for geeky things these days.
