@atpfm iMessage threads with backgrounds will make the messages app HDR (even if it doesn't look that way) while that thread is open. That’s when flickering is extremely prominent for me on my Studio Display.

@snazzyq they love the Mac. That's why they applied an iOS skin on macOS that's as good as those OS X theming packs for Windows XP back in the day.

@mrudokas I cannot wait for the current generation of Apple leadership to go especially with the hubris they displayed with the Jobs quote at the start of the event yesterday.

@atpfm Couldn't help but think the Jobs quote was the marketing guy's doing, or at least he approved it. He has shown utter contempt for the fans who voice genuine concern. (See also: he said on the Talk Show at WWDC 2022 that the sentiment that Apple didn't care about the Mac in the 2010s was "repugnant.")

@chockenberry You know, they started the event with a Steve Jobs quote. Maybe next time they'll explain this away with another Jobs quote, "For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through," just to really spite their fans expressing genuine concern.
