4. Renewables—wind, solar—in combination with batteries (especially once vacuum flywheel technology takes off) are the future. The sooner we get there, the better. So maybe something good will come from this horrible war.
3. Still, every disadvantage has its advantage, as Johan Cruijff used to say: as fossil fuel prices rise, renewables become much more competitive. The minimum target for 2030 is 42.5%—we should double it, with such high oil prices it’ll easily make its investments back.
