JessamynThere are so many easy moments of grace in this work. Telling kids these are THEIR books and we just take care of them for them. Telling them they don't have to be quiet; that they can help themselves to band-aids. Offering free menstrual supplies and sharps disposal in the gender neutral bathroom; letting them show me how the barcode scanner works (I am not great with it) and letting the kids do their own date-stamping. It's not perfect, it's far from perfect, but it belongs to us and I help.
