Why does the search/replace option to use "Current selection only" refuse to stick?
I feel like the software in constantly working against me. Is there a way to tell it to never unselect an option until I tell it to?

@Newmy
Thanks. That was a good read, but I felt like it was a bit off the mark.
I don't buy it's for "simplicity's sake", as you don't need extra buttons for frame by frame. I do believe it all boils down to $$ though.
It's a shame more people don't demand more. I think it's more a result of people adopting a new norm, and by the time they looked up and took stock, it was already too late.
Thanks again!
Can you speak to the reason why most streamers do not have the ability to truly FF and RR? As in being able to scan the video smoothly to find something without skipping over chunks of video.
I can effectively do it in my DVR and in Kodi, but streamers seem to nerf this ability and we accept this regression.
Just wondered if there was a legitimate reason they don't want users to have this ability.
Thanks!

In an news story that shouldn't shock anyone, although the US government isn't legally allowed to spy on every single citizen for no reason, there's nothing that stops them from buying every single scrap of data that any other entity collects, and that's exactly what they are doing according to a recently declassified report.
