Vale to fabulous musician, Hamish Kilgour. A founding member of seminal Dunedin band The Clean, Hamish had a lengthy and productive career as a musician and a painter. I love The Clean, and consider them a powerfully influential band, who had an astounding impact when you consider they came from the global south and all their releases were on a small independent label. Punk in attitude, psychedelic pop musically with sardonic lyrics, The Clean wrote a lot of outstanding music, which I've loved since discovering them in my early twenties. A huge figure for me and a band that opened my eyes. Respect to Hamish and condolences to his family. A legend.
