Il y a un peu plus de trois ans, Blues Lawyer sortait un album absolument ravageur.

Les deux guitaristes du groupe, Rob I. Miller et Ellen Matthews, publient aujourd'hui le premier EP d'un projet parallèle, sous le nom de Rob & Ellen, tout simplement.

Comme naguère l'album de Blues Lawyer, cet EP est un véritable festival pour l'auditeur. En moins de 20 minutes, tout y passe, entre un "Cupcake Store" qui lorgne du côté de Luna, "So Many Californias" en mode #FlyingNun, "Cosmic Rock" qu'on pourrait rebaptiser #collegerock, et au sommet ce "Penny Fountain" totalement magique.

The Enemy started in 1977 and along with The Clean, they're one of the first bands released on Flying Nun, and widely considered to be forerunners of "the Dunedin Sound". A quick search of BandCamp turns up a lot of bands called The Enemy, but nothing quite like the original kiwi iteration.
