I like remembering things as much as I like discovering things ... and sometimes the experience is one and the same!

The Enemy started in 1977 and along with The Clean, they're one of the first bands released on Flying Nun, and widely considered to be forerunners of "the Dunedin Sound". A quick search of BandCamp turns up a lot of bands called The Enemy, but nothing quite like the original kiwi iteration.
PSA: you can now pre-order Richard Langston’s biography of The Clean, probably NZ’s _finest_ #indie band (despite tough competition!) from Flying Nun. Says it’s due to ship in April.

From Michael Brown(@jingajik.bsky.social)Music Curator at Alexander Turnbull Library(NZ):
"Flying Nun on Multitrack
First installment of my blog about these special tapes in the FNR and Chris Knox collections at National Library of NZ. What is a multitrack? What is on these tapes? And how can you listen to and research them?"

Chris Knox mini-doc from 1995 just uploaded to YerTerb. Nice WFMU shirt!
I would pay real money to have been in the boardroom where the notion of moving forward with a television show about a nun who is capable of flight was proposed.
