Die Teilnahme an der fair Art Fair 25 in St.Gallen - organisiert vom @kollektiv_streunenderhund - war ein Erfolg.

Die #Schweiz hat viele #Offspaces und unabhängige #Ausstellungsorte, die jenseits des institutionalisierten und kommerziellen Kunstbetrieb bestehen. Diese Orte werden - oft mit bescheidenen finanziellen Mitteln - von engagierten Einzelpersonen und Gruppen betrieben, die mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdienen.

Good news concerning my #studio - my lease has been extended for another year. This gives me continuity for my creative work.

Whatever happens, my space is open to me and my ideas. Here I can continue experimenting and letting off steam. And I don't owe anyone anything.

I got some new material and brought back many inspirations from my summer holiday.

As an #artist, I know how hard it can be to get appreciation for the works you create. To progress, it is necessary to have access to the public.

Since all art institutions function as cartels or insider networks, artists are doomed to play the ‚slaves of New York‘ game (remember the novel by Tama Janovitz?). I dropped out of arts for many years, because the working conditions and exhibition possibilities are fucked up. I was so fed up by the inherent disregard and degradation game.

Arbeit im Kunstlabor heißt Regelmäßigkeit, Spontaneität, Reflektion von internen und externen Reizen.
Das kannst du an keiner Schule lernen: es braucht Kontinuität, Einsamkeit und ein gesundes Maß an Unbeirrbarkeit.

Das hat aber wenig mit dem Personenkult zu tun, der heute so angesagt und unumgänglich scheint. Der äußere Schein wird zu sehr betont, das frisst so viel Energie, dass fast immer die inhaltliche Auseinandersetzung darunter leidet.
