Does anyone have any recommendations on a service for sharing bookmarks within a small group?

Yeah, we can just drop stuff into chats, but it would be nice to have some more organization.

One of the things I find most striking about people explaining how Mastadon works vs Twitter, is how much of what they're talking about are things that Twitter did a decade ago, that most of us didn't care for when they changed them.
Why did one of the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchanges just collapse?

FTX was supposed to be the future – a safe, reliable and innovative way to trade digital currency. Instead it has unleashed a financial meltdown

I swear I checked the Play Store for this 2 weeks ago and could only see Taskmaster UK if I was VPN'd to the UK.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

@thinker @mmasnick I don't think this is true for those of us in the US.
@mmasnick There will never be a better TV Moment than James Acaster discovering Rhod Gilbert opening that garage, then just closing it and moving on with his awful plan.

Going to try a thing: white guys, please boost!!

Comment here if you're: queer and/or BIPOC and you are interested in talking about #TTRPGs #GameDesign #LARP or #games #art so we can create some discoverability for marginalized folks trying to find community with each other

I'll start! I'm a queer trans nb person who designs and publishes tabletop games and LARPs about gender and queerness. My jam lately has been happy games about queer people finding love and community

@SocietyMatt Regulating Exchanges is literally the SEC's job. It's in the name.

@jaredhirsch Yeah, I remember vividly how Spam basically killed the Federation aspects of Jabber (even before Facebook killed IM generally), so I have concerns.

That said, Mastodon does seem to have better controls for Moderators to be able to block problematic servers, which is good, but that is obviously a reactive solution, and making it proactive (ie, requiring new servers to convince existing servers to add them to the Fediverse) has other bad trade-offs.

@molly0xfff It is incredible the SEC hasn't started signaling they're going to try and regulate these people.
