I am a community ecologist at #INRAE Dynafor research unit, working on the spatial dynamics of biodiversity 🪲🪳 🍄 within tree related microhabitats (#TReMs). I am particularly interested in understanding the effects of forest management practices on the taxonomic and functional diversity of these tiny systems.

We used fractal designs in the #BloBiForM project, to implement a #eDNA survey of biodiversity in tree holes of #Gresigne forest, in SW France, analysis in progress...
Spoiler : fractals are better than more classic sampling strategies when one aims at quantifying both coarse-grained monotonic spatial trends and fine scale autocorrelation patterns of some species population density, but has a limited number of site to invest (like always...)
