"Did anyone ever tell you...you're my hero?"

10 Democrats just voted to censure Democratic Rep Al Green for his Good Trouble move of standing up to a fascist...and this is the response from Dem leadership: "House Democratic leadership is "very unhappy" with those who went beyond traditional protest tactics, such as outfit coordination and refusal to clap during Trump's speech to Congress."

I've seen more outrage from Dem leaders at their own Reps than at Trump for building a concentration camp. smh

By the way, if your church tells you to praise Jesus because a serial rapist was elected, find a new church.

If you voted for Trump, I don’t judge you for your choice of political party.

I judge you for your lack of morals, ethics, compassion and humanity.

I judge you for your support of racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, treason and fascism.

So will others. So will history.

Allow me to address the elephant in the room: Trump’s current silence is a thousand times stranger than his silence after the alleged assassination attempt. — Something is brewing.

2 died of Ebola: They said Obama should resign.

4 died in Benghazi: They had Hillary testify for 11 hours, held 33 hearings, and launched a 4-year probe.

881,776 Covid deaths, an armed insurrection & theft of classified documents: They cheered, and elected Trump as dictator.

What should journalists do when the facts don’t matter?

Media historian Michael J. Socolow explores this rather bleak question for @ConversationUS. He argues that while not perfect, the American media largely did its job this year.

"Ultimately, the First Amendment protects the right of journalists to report, publish and broadcast, but it can’t force citizens to read, listen, absorb or learn. In that sense, journalism didn’t fail us – we failed journalism."

What should journalists do when the facts don’t matter?

Historical examples abound of American news consumers being presented with verified facts about controversial figures or events, only to have the excellent journalism have little to no effect.
