A local friend of mine has been working on a new macOS app to help you manage your iPod: https://podcenter.app

No more Finder, no more iTunes…

PodCenter - Your iPod Command Center

PodCenter is the modern command center for classic iPods and Finder-based devices. Sync, convert, and organize your music library with complete transparency.

I get a dozen emails a day from developers scammed by an impersonator promising to feature their app in a video on my channel. Been going on for months and Google can’t seem to stop it.

I respond to every email + DM, but now I’m going to try and share the apps and developers to hopefully give them some free publicity.

These are all small developers trying to get eyes on their app. Many fell victim to the scam and lost $100. They’re all very gracious and understanding, but screw the scammers:

I wrote some about the value of simplicity and deep thinking in a time of AI coding agent frenzy.

@kyle I used your recent toot about SecureShell Fish and tmux in a Claude convo to set myself up similarly. Holy crap is this good. I’ve got a Claude Code session humming away on feature implementation which I can now check on from my Mac, iPhone, or iPad. Plus remote deploy, wild.

I feel like this might be the gamechanger for me as it has been for you. Thanks for the tip!

Matt did an amazing job on our app icon!

This is just spam right? I checked the link at the bottom which claimed to be to github.com but actually redirected a couple times and ended up at GitLab.

It is even signed as an official partnership with GitHub at the bottom. I’m guessing they don’t want this stuff propagating through their network. Also, I don’t want to spam filter GitHub messages. Ugh.

Is anyone else having an issue with modal SwiftUI views having their pull-to-refresh views enabled by default? It showed up recently in my app and I’m not sure why. Only one of my views has refreshable specified.

I'm currently looking for new iOS developer opportunities, either fulltime or freelance. 15 years experience in iOS, so looking for a senior role. LA-based, remote preferable. Hopefully a product that helps people. ❤️
