Just got out of Alien: Romulus. From the ads I got the sense it wasn't really going to do anything new. Turns out it's actually weirdly obsessed with reenacting the older films, to the extent that it uses effects to (spoiler?) resurrect an actor from the first film.
#olympics While all the athletes go by in boats, they have random dudes in ancient costumes and Napoleon hats doing goofy stunts. I have a question about that: WHY??
About halfway through S1 of #HouseOfTheDragon and wow, it's impressive how profoundly unsexy the sex in this show is. When they give you the "sexual situations" warning at the start, they should add, "but don't get excited, it's gross."
Oh man, #TheAcolyte season one is SO GOOD!! Such a fascinating, complex view of the Jedi and the Dark Side. The dirty politics and gray morality of the Jedi. Brilliant and exciting and moving.
