Happy to share my last first authored article, corresponding to the third chapter of my PhD thesis.

Happy and thankful with my co-authors, Dr George Mylonas and Professor Daniel Elson, both at Imperial College London ‘s Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery

Clinical Systems Engineering,

I’m a clinician by background, with an essential experience in surgery, anaesthesiology, and critical care. Since I got my M.D. degree, I have been working side by side with biomedical engineers (all flavours: mechanic mechatronic, biomaterials, computing, and clinical systems) in the USA and the U.K.
#Introduction 5/5
I love science, technology, and how their integration into clinical practice improves our patients’ quality of life. Anything MedTech!
#Introduction 4/x
I’ll be happy to talk with anyone with problems (I prefer to call them needs) in their daily clinical practice; if you have ideas for new medical technologies; or if you are in a company and want to explore collaborations.
I love the Chilean Andes (practicing mountaineering since Uni, with summits over 5000m), climbing (indoors, basic experience outdoor), cycling (MTB), and playing classic guitar.
#Introduction 3/x
I’m happily working at CDP (a unique R&D consulting company located in Cambridge, UK). There, I work in medical insights and strategy. My role is to find all stakeholders’ needs in healthcare, envision and develop high-tech solutions that solve surgery and medicine’s needs in general.
#Introduction 2/x
At the same time, I keep my clinical skills up-to-date. I’m a registered doctor in Chile and in the U.K. My last time treating patients was in September 2019. Also designed the national strategy for preclinical and clinical validation of Emergency Mechanical Ventilators for Chile’s Ministry of Science.
