I'm a really wierd person so this is a hefty sample size. We joke about things like mercury or arsenic as "medicine", but the words "opium infused tampons" (c. 1826) never crossed my mind until this trip. #medhistory #medicine

It might be my favorite thing. I collect editions of the DSM to show students because what we beleived even forty years ago about the brain.. just yeah, wild is the only word that comes to mind! This museum is so cool though. it's small, but maybe 500 of these tiny bottles. I wish I could have stayed all day but people wanted to check out Bourbon Street.
