If after the search for Chametz, you leave the Chametz out overnight, and in the morning, you find that some of it is missing, with cat bite marks on it, can one take the precedent of pesachib 10b and assume that the cats didn't scatter any of the Chametz, or so I have to research the kitchen?
@terryb @bluedragon yeah, I went to a service that had a guided interpretive dance thing after the amidah. It was... Not for me.
Nothing against people who do find that kind of thing meaningful, but it's pretty far away from my religious identity.
What's everyone's best tricks for making Seder run smoothly? I'll start:
Karpas can be satisfied with just a few sprigs of parsely, but you don't have to do the minimum. The Seder can be long, especially when everyone is hungry and eager for dinner, so have a full vegetable spread for karpas that people can nosh on throughout maggid.
Pesach is coming, the house is getting clean
Won't you please put the Chametz where it can't be seen
When the Chametz is gone get the kitnyot too
When the kitnyot is gone then you are through.
@bluedragon I find it a succinct and accurate description of my relationship with Judaism.
I observe the rituals and halachic law (mostly), I value the community, but I am agnostic at most and find the more belief/emotive parts of religion uninteresting.
At work, I made a mistake today. In describing a system our performer team is working with, I incorrectly used the word "Lasers" when I should have said "Plasma Guns."
I blame reading too much science fiction.
