I've worked in kidlit and in the news media, I've started and run a YA science magazine, launched multiple beer brands, and played harmonica for a series of short-lived blues bands. I'm currently working on a short story collection and a series of new picture books. Art AIs are my sworn enemies. Open for illustration / design commissions after December '22.

"I want," the man said to the art robot, and then described an image in some detail.
"Certainly," said the art robot. A printout came out of its chest.
"Thank y- Hey! What's this?"
"A list of artists who make images of the kind you describe, and who are accepting commissions."

"extreme wealth is accumulated not by innovating or increasing production, but by taking advantage of rising prices and exploiting labour. In this effort, wealthy people are enabled by lack of regulation and taxation. The result is a bonanza of plunder with no sheriff in town."

Look at how the 1% are doing right now, and tell me the system isn’t rigged

The world’s super-rich have amassed so much wealth since the pandemic that even a Tory minister can see something is amiss, says the Guardian columnist Nesrine Malik

Starting this week, I'm teaching a batch of 120 design students a creative writing course. (Because the ability to communicate with words is the backbone of all successful self-expression.) The course will span three months, and will cover a wide range of mediums, techniques, genres, and more. If you'd like to follow along each week and try some of the exercises I've put together / read the course material, you're welcome to do so here: https://twelveweeks.in

P.S. I love feedback! Write to me!

Kuzhali Manickavel has a column at Strange Horizons where she digs up incredibly dusty old science fiction radio theatre and writes play-by-play commentary. This month it's Wally K Daly's SCREAM trilogy and it's pretty twisted

Not certain of the meter per se, but gosh that last line. _goosebumps_
