It’s been two weeks since the most recent contactless zone expansion in England’s South East; making it the largest area supporting contactless travel in the country (by a wide margin)

Stansted Airport, Southend Airport added to London Contactless Zone – Express transit

Does Glasgow support contactless transit?

Glasgow supports contactless transit payments.

Day one of Melbourne’s contactless "tap and go" rollout:

- Lines: Craigieburn, Upfield, Seymour, Ballarat
- Total taps: 5,159

Anecdotally I've not seen or heard any real issues. Personally, my billing data for both physical card and Apple Pay tallied the correct figures, including free 'change of mind'.

Still to come:

- Readers for V/Line conductors and AOs need updating
- Presumably: wait at least a month to determine that billing all looks correct, with no major anomalies.

Thanks to @jamesthomson for demonstrating contactless / Apple Watch support on the Glasgow Subway on day one of operation.
Contactless now on Glasgow Subway: Visa and Mastercard + Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay all supported. Both lines, all stations. Right now. https://news.expresstransit.com/glasgow-subway-goes-contactless/

Melbourne contactless trial expands to the general public.

Tap to ride any Visa or Mastercard - including via Apple Pay and Google Pay - on the Craigieburn and Upfield lines from Monday.

Regional lines from Seymour and Ballarat also part of this stage.
