all of this is rendered through a tilebuffer! so I get to write a lot of game stuff in a way that feels analogous to programming on an NES, but without quite such a tight crunch. I'm still working with limited parameters though, lots of fixed length arrays and 8-bit integers such. (this is C+Raylib)

last year I felt quite insistent on using the pico-8 editor exclusively. I'll miss it, but it'll help me a lot now to have replaced it with this multi-file workflow using shrinko8 and Makefiles! various projects had become a bit overwhelming managing it all in-editor. #pico8
