I have been reading about the Quietist period of Quakerism. I increasingly feel like not only has this period been unfairly dismissed and judged, I’m kind of sensing I might even have strong Quietist tendencies myself. 😯 #Quakers

I’ve been spending time on and off with the book of Ecclesiastes over the past year. It is an amazing and surprising book—a meditation on mortality that says the quiet bit out loud. For me, it has been deeply liberating and humbling. I’d love to know how others have related to its messages. #Quakers @quakers
