Had a vivid image of a scene today which I thought would make a good subject that needs to be written as a short story. One problem, I'm not a writer. So I'm going to try posting this here and see what the critics say.
Firm nod to @neilhimself who inspires so many.

The view from The Bridges, Kent Narrows Md. Great night to celebrate 25 years of marriage. #SilentSunday #Photography

The secret ingredients to getting code to work are:

0. anger 😠

1. hate 😡

2. coffee ☕

3. lots of music 🎶 in the background.

Love making coffee in an old fashioned percolator. Its slow and mesmerizing filling the whole kitchen with coffee aroma. Great way to ease into the morning.
Decided to splurge for my C64. This is an AV breakout board. It allows all standard cables to plug straight in (RCA, SVideo etc). It also has jumpers to reconfigure the audio and video. There's even a hack for noise reduction. Amazing! #c64 #commodore64 #retrocomputing #commodore

(apologies to Blade Runner)

... I have seen things you wouldn't believe ...

... ribbon cables for hard drives... Master/Slave SCSI termination... (mind screams in rebellion)... the little switch boxes to hook your original Nintendo console or VIC-20 to a TV and then get headaches from staring at the TV CRT too closely.... a VIC-20 cassette drive with a box of about 150+ tapes that were completely unlabeled ... painstakingly typed in from the listings in BYTE magazine... Taking low-density 3.5" floppies, and drilling/punching a hole through to double your storage and make them "high-density".... the squeal of a modem (and trying to get the IRQ' conflicts resolved via changing jumper switches)... attempting to connect to Datapac to try and reach unknown systems, running my BBS in a DOS-box, on 386 Windows 3.0 machine...

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain...

The clicking of an IOMEGA ZIP drive, whose time it was to die...
