Xfinity rips you off. Being monopoly doesn't give you the right to rip off customers. 1.2TB/month for a family of four WFH is plain stupid. Charging $10/50GB is even more stupid. I shouldn't be forced to buy Xfinity equipment to get rid of this extra bill.

My location has no other fast internet provider. Anyone wrote to their representatives to solve this type of issues?

I paid $440 and all I got is a lousy badge. #Defcon31

What I learned during my 3 weeks stay in Turkey: Bunch of American internet services block Turkish IPs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Notes from my Reddit Account Deletion saga: Well, after my Reddit permaban incident I went and deleted my Reddit account. https://infosec.exchange/@emresaglam/110403705605351765

After deleting my account I also went and did a California Consumer Privacy Act request. Their process was to authenticate and do the CCPA request over this web form. http://www.reddit.com/settings/data-request

Since I already deleted my account, there was no way for me to do the CCPA request and I ended up contacting them.

Reddit ended up reactivating my account and they made me go through the web form. This takes 30 days and in the end I should have a link that I can download the data that they know about me. I might do another update. (The process was smooth, kudos to Reddit)

In the mean while, I went and deleted everything I can in my account. These include: Posts, Comments, Messages, Friends (sorry). (Since I was suspended for no reason, I couldn’t change up/down votes.) I used Power Delete Suite Bookmarklet for this: https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite

Since I wrote the request anyway, I also created a CCPA and GDPR request template for anyone to use, you can see it here. If you are a California or EU citizen feel free to use them. https://github.com/emresaglam/CCPA-GDPR_request_letter

I was worried that I would miss Reddit, but I didn't. This was probably the most pleasantly surprising part of getting rid of Reddit :)

Attached: 1 image Goodbye Reddit I guess? I have been a Reddit user for close to 17 years. 16y7mo to be exact. Today I logged in and I got the red banner that says my account is permanently suspended. I never posted anything other than a few car pics, some game screenshots and a few comments in my Reddit life. Never got into any discussions, never posted anything remotely against the Reddit content policy. Never got a private message that is explaining why I got suspended (unlike it says in their article) After my appeal, I got a basic automated message that I cannot reply, explaining that my appeal has been reviewed and it is permanent. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I have no clue why I’m banned, and no clue if my appeal ever got reviewed by a human. The state of social media is going in deep :burning_poop: My prediction is that major social media conglomerates will screw or hurt their users one way or another and people will start living in their "cyber neighborhoods" instead of their massive "cyber megapoles". This happened to Facebook, Twitter in massive scales. Maybe this is Reddit's turn now? #reddit #socialmedia #permabanned

All good things come to an end I guess. With my “no reason” permanent suspension, with API pricing drama for Apollo Reddit client, I guess it’s time to move on with Reddit. I guess monetize over user wins each time 😂
New breach: Notorious data breach fourm "RaidForums" had 478k records dating back to 2020 posted to a new hacking forum this week.
