I have been called a man,
And a beast too.

For my skin is different,
And my lips too.

I have been called a wizard,
And a witch too.

For my dance is strange,
And my speech too.

"Uncivilised," they say.
To them, I am barbaric and weak.

For I look like an ape,
And to them, mostly bananas I seek.

But listen, I do not
To the words they speak.

For like an ape, I will rise
When my boundaries are breached.

The light
Both evoke emptiness when i'm in them;
They both feel like void.

They emit no feelings--
No echo of voices.

All just silence:
