Why in the world is there a 10 second delay before the https://mastodon.social/home page loads? I find myself checking Mastodon less and less these days...

@sayartyler Fair enough, but this is the only website I've ever encountered (within the last decade, anyway) that presents a blank page and thinks about things for that long before it finally shows some content.
Or is that just me? Maybe it works great for everyone else...

@EverydayMoggie @Vivaldi Really? I installed it to try it out and can't find a setting for that. Of course, there are about a million settings, so I may well have overlooked it, but I could not find a way to default bookmarks so that they always open in a new tab.

Just a random thought: I'm astonished that @Vivaldi is the only browser (that I know of) that has figured out that "always open bookmarks in a new tab" might be a useful option to have. And who'd've thunk it would be the "killer feature" that keeps me using this wonderful browser? But it is...

@dennisl Terrific browser; highly recommended. It's been my go-to for several years. My favorite feature by far (which is ridiculous because it's so simple) is the ability to specify that all bookmarks automatically open in a new tab. Why isn't that the default on every browser??
