In 2025 it’s unacceptable for an email vendor to not accept delivery over both IPv4 and IPv6.

Publicly shaming Amazon on this one. Can’t send you DMARC reports if you don’t accept delivery. IPv4 is broken and they are a huge contributor for why we are out of IPs.

Amazon currently holds over 100 Million public IPv4 addresses with an estimated value of over 2 BILLION dollars just in IP addresses.

It's still missing an installer script but this is the closest I've gotten to building a network operating system where the only tools available are what is absolutely necessary.

Keeping with a fox theme the resulting name ended up being FennecNOS, Fennec because smol and NOS because Network Operating System.

It boots both Legacy Grub and EFI successfully.

My two RK1 modules came in the mail and can finally power this thing up!

Very excited to see what I can make them do. Currently working on getting just one to boot right now. Then I gotta do some research and see if I can just PXE boot these from the network.

After waiting a few months my uConsole by Clockwork Pi has come in!

Was a lot of fun to put together and the instructions were easy to follow. All things considered this is a very solid piece of hardware!

This is the 64 bit RISCV version of the uConsole because I wanted to give myself a bit of a challenge this time around. Just playing with the stock image has given me a lot more ideas of what I’ll use this system for.
