@JohnJamesOZ He's a bit of a shit but clearly a highly intelligent, capable and driven bit of shit. He'd understand the role better than most, and be well suited to that sort of job (way more than he was as PM)
Plus I think he's mellowed a lot over the last few years once it was clear his time directly in politics was over.
Finally Australia sending someone so virulently anti-Murdoch to the USA is a bit of a spit in the eye to old Uncle Rupert. So that's good.

I'm not looking forward to the tablecloth that will be the upper house ballot paper in WA in 2025 though with the whole-state change.
@benraue I still think the most glaring example of the problem with GVTs was the election of a Daylight Savings Party candidate in WA's Mining and Pastoral Region.
It's a region where at the last DLS referendum got only 34% approval (who the hell wants to shift the evening back when the average daytime max is > 40C).
The fact that people know how to game them means that the results can't be considered representative.
(That the left-right split is relatively unchanged though is not surprising)

However, I'm not sure that the tail number of his plane actually constitutes "private information"
