The amount of time I’ve wasted configuring vim is only surpassed by the amount of time I’ve wasted configuring eMacs to act more like vim. In that way Bram Moolenar has had an outsized impact on my life. I’m very sorry to hear of his passing.

Ubuntu holds a special place in my heart because when I was in college I was trying to hook up with this hotep girl and when I told her I was using an African OS and Ubuntu means “I am because we are” and it’s shades of brown because brown is the color of humanity she fell for it and made out with me.

I would really like to know why it is they’ve decided to paint everything “millennial white”. Farm houses are fucking ugly and stainless steel appliances are boring. Meanwhile 100 years ago they had no qualms about painting the house teal and putting intricate tile work on the fireplace.

al3xwell, this was an unexpected morning. my company just announced that it will be closing at the end of the month and everyone will be terminated.
on a personal level, i’m 9 months pregnant and scheduled for a c-section in less than a week, which puts me in a tough spot as i know i’m gonna have to take “leave” time.
