Yes things are shitty, so it's important to take note of some things that are absolutely delightful and amazing.

This is a hummingbird nest with two jellybean sized eggs. The parents built this in a bush growing next to my house's driveway.

Did the #nokings #protest today. The signs and slogans expressed our outrage, but the community spirit was both beautiful and peaceful and the event had a fun street fair vibe.

Kudos to #Portland for using humor to mock the fascists. You can see that inspire us down here in #California.

Appreciated.

Great turnout, enthusiastic supportive honks from passing drivers. Warm, friendly, peaceful crowd organized by #indivisible.

1500 people or so, #Oakland CA. #protest #democracy #fiftyfiftyone

OK. This tsunami map is over the top.

There are ~5 million people in the red areas of that map, and these red areas have huge elevation variation too.

Absolutely stay away from the water, but the map implies that we expect a 200ft (?) wall of water to come crashing down at any moment.

What's the plan for #DataRescue 2.0? Mobilize lawyers to try to enforce records retention laws? Mobilize international repositories to replicate key scientific and environmental data?

What does the #digitalrepository community think?

Hm. This thing can do animated Gifs now.
