"i read all the code the llm pooped out" is such a flimsy statement. mere reading is not the bar here: each line of code must weigh on your mind for the whole maintenance lifespan of the project.

To management, I say "I use AI techniques to ___". It's just my shell scripts from 2001 that still run perfectly everyday. I don't tell them that AI in that sentence actually stands for already implemented.

I've started asking people the thought experiment "are there more doors or wheels on planet earth?". I don't really care about their answer, but the speed at which they ask ChatGPT allows me to assess how much I care about their thoughts and opinions on other matters.
