@jackbrewster I just picked one up for my middle kid’s early 10th (didn’t want to fuck with the tariffs) so he can do some basic game dev during the summer and it’s really sweet.
Makes me more annoyed there’s no Xcode and I can’t run unreal engine and blender on my iPad Pro.
@jackbrewster If it was my only one, I’d move from annoyed to pissed. The only reason why I wouldn’t be pissed in my case is I only need the flimsiest excuse to upgrade because I can’t otherwise justify it

Max MBP still feels super snappy and plenty fast. Literally the only things that bog it down are loading shaders in Unreal or running local DeepSeek. I can’t imagine it’d fall off support any time soon. I’d be annoyed to have to replace my base M1 Mini for no reason. It’s a great little home server.
