@Jrmmasto @noelreports UiO-66 is thr latest variant but Infrared blocking smoke has existed for decades.

These for example.

Also, don't sell the Russians short. It's not inconceivable that they could create their own infrared blocking smoke using their own formulas.

American Rheinmetall Munitions (ARM) receives order for 66mm MK 1 MOD 0American Rheinmetall Munitions (ARM) announced today that it has received an $8.2 million order from the Program Manager forAmmunition, Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA for Grenade, 66mm Smoke Screening IR, Vehicle Launched, (SSVL) MK 1 MOD 0.

@noelreports Drones dropping explosives (using the light switch), overwatch drones, first person cam footage. Whoever trained them certainly took cues from the Ukraine-Russia war. The IDF was clearly unprepared, other countries better take note, future warfare is here.

@kevinrothrock one of the most annoying things about these language models. In an attempt to not offend anyone they corner off knowledge behind a wall of "I cant do this".

It's a really bad precedent. Instead of censoring, words need to be read within the context of the time, place and situation when they are written.

These language models should never be censored. Imagine a Chinese large language model refusing to translate text about Tiananmen Square.

@nazokiyoubinbou @arstechnica it's not a matter of doxxing. It's a matter that if you are defamed you have the right to demand information on who defamed you so you can take civil action against them. This information doesn't have to be made public, but it needs to be available to the interested party.

Once they get that, then they can take it to court to have the statements found defamatory and then removed. Until then, they can stay up.
