THE FINALS broke again on Linux Desktop / Steam Deck, Valve updated Proton Hotfix to fix it

THE FINALS has a repeating issue where major updates will break it in some way, with the latest update causing the game on Desktop Linux / Steam Deck to freeze a few minutes into a match.

@emersion I wanted to try to build together a Fluffychat for the Alpine. I was amazed at how much work the maintainers of Alpine and other non-glibc distributions do to make frameworks like Flutter or Electron work on these systems

The recent work I've been doing has required a lot of sharing files between testing devices (and my Mac). AirDrop should be the ideal tool for this but I've recently found it to be unreliable.

Instead I've been using LocalSend which is an open-source AirDrop alternative and it's been working fantastically. The only real downside is that you have to open the app on both sides for the share to complete, but it has been 100% reliable so that’s a tradeoff I'll happily make.

@q66 All extremes scare me, like suckless-philosophy or gnu-addiction. But I find it rational to replace nano with micro because of the support of familiar keybindings, as well as simplicity and easy-to-use

P.s. I'm not developer, just yet another Linux user

@askubuntu Are you sure U use x86 (ia32 architecture) of CPU
@gamingonlinux Firstly, Linux community is now comfortable environment for development and safe communication (it was important)
Secondly, Valve's influence on Linux, for sure. Valve makes Linux more enjoyable
Tertiary, Everytime increase level of performance. Stonks
