I’m going to be the buzzkill here, and say that I couldn’t find the demonologist reference (although I did find it amusing). Here’s the source article: www.nature.com/articles/d41586-026-00700-y
Forget SkinTok: the real science of skincare and why it matters for your health

Skip the complicated regimens and expensive products seen on social media. The science of skin is deep but the recommendations are simple.

Take a look at Orion (made by the Kagi folks). Have been very happy with it for a long time, and it works well on 26.2 (I know that all iOS browsers are WebKit under the hood, but they’re clearly doing something different). Superior ad blocking as well.
Years ago (early 2000s) in a product that suffered from poor product management, I worked on a codebase that included some Scheme, and a built-in Scheme interpreter to run it. I always liked the language.I think it might still have a niche in embedded systems and game dev, among other places (I read somewhere that it’s used in satellite software due to being hot reloadable)?

Humorous RFCs and protocol proposals are an ancient internet tradition: en.wikipedia.org/…/April_Fools'_Day_Request_for_C…

We just had the honor of being rejected by Y Combinator yesterday for the S26 batch but we’re undaunted and using it as an opportunity to double down on building and getting traction!

I can’t speak for Zed specifically, but this has little to do with the nature of the software, and more to do with overreach on the part of legislators with respect to age verification (self attested or otherwise).

For example, California’s AB-1043, which takes effect in January of 2027: natlawreview.com/…/california-introduces-new-age-…

What the…? I feel old.
I’m going to date myself, but the first thing I thought when I saw that drawing was “oh, a new O’Reilly book!”
