@atpfm I find this endlessly funny - there's an app owned by Apple that is stuck in Squircle Jail on macOS 26 Tahoe. It's Pixelmator Pro!
@atpfm I listened to the latest episode on my way to my family’s cottage, where I’m currently hooking back up our home theater system, as I do every spring. I’m so glad that I labeled all of these.

#askatp how deep do you go on customizing input methods? What input settings feel broken for you on a new Mac until you change it? Pointer speed, tap to click, scroll direction? If you use something like the MX Master mouse, do you set up macros or application-specific functions?

I was thinking about it because it always bothered me that the Forward & Back buttons on my MX Master 3 didn't work in Apple Photos on macOS. So this morning I went into Logi Options+ and fixed it.

@atpfm @marcoarment heres an #askatp for ya: Marco, you mentioned that lately you’ve let go of how much you care about your car looking a certain way. Has that attitude crossed over into other areas as well? Specially, how fussy is your coffee these days? ☕️

Little disclaimer for all you Apple networking nerds out there: I upgraded to macOS Sequoia today, and it broke my Pihole configuration - it changed my M1 MacBook Pro Wifi adapter's MAC address! Weird! I would have accepted a new IP on my network. But a new MAC address? 🥴😵‍💫

Had a nice little chuckle to myself just now while reading the Apple App Store Editor's Notes for @overcastfm.

The phrase "... an app that does everything you want to do without unnecessary features or unnecessary fuss" has a redundant (one might even say, unnecessary) word.

You guessed it - that word is "unnecessary". Perhaps the App Store editors need an editor.

Google just announced that its Nest cameras can now detect when your garage door is open or closed. Much to everyone's chagrin, there's still no way to set them to only notify you when they see a person that you don't know. That's just too hard a problem to solve, eh @siracusa?
Using the official instructions and bricks from their own collection, a father & son team built a colorful DIY version of Lego’s massive Millennium Falcon (7541 pieces, $830 MSRP). Much better than that dingy gray! https://kottke.org/24/06/colorful-diy-lego-millennium-falcon

When I played lacrosse, my nickname was The Towering Sequoia. I'm glad to see Apple has an OS to match!
Two nights in a row now, I've tried to watch Millennium Actress, got about half an hour in, then had to bail because I was too tired to give it my full attention. I'm fully in @hotdogsladies territory here 😏
