My last day of work at the World Trade Center was Sept 10, 2001. I worked late, so I was going to go in late the next day. I never made it in (the planes hit in the morning). I was at 5 WTC, a 9 story building between the towers, all my coworkers evacuated

What I remember most were the missing person posters, especially plastered all over Grand Central Terminal

Now we experience it again with #ICE under #Trump

I'm part of the Groups.io #hamradio group where I live, and the hardest part of it is how often lately they're announcing deaths of the local #ham operators. For one, they all seem like fantastic people and I'm sad I never got to know them, and for two, it really feels like ham radio is made up of more and more of a dying group. The two facts that I can always bring up as "what's unique about you" style icebreakers is that I'm a ham radio operator and a lapsed puppeteer. Nobody else ever has experience with those two things.

@rbreich I want to go to a protest today, but honestly, I think some of his supporters might try and kill people. I live in a very red area. It’s not safe with everything going on right now.
