Turns out the most important skills in the long run are to stay motivated, encourage contributors, + support users. Compared to that, taking care of the code is much more straightforward.

Having just attended the blisteringly brilliant Hackference Brum, a bunch of us were drinking in a pub and chatting about how focused on the future most conference are.
