Over 8000 people registered to join Loops in the first 24 hours after I announced Loops, back in Nov 2024.

Like, before it even existed. It was just a signup form and a dream.

I applied to NLnet in early 2024 to build Loops and got accepted in Dec 2024, right after I launched the first alpha.

Then in Jan 2025, people complained to NLnet and tried to get my funding revoked because it wasn't fully open source.

Until I shipped it later that year.

And now I'm on round two.

@Techaltar I dislike Trump as much as anyone else, but I think there's very little knowledge and criticism about the many excesses and abuses that China commits

@pixelfed I'd gladly do so but let me say I already backed the effort at Kickstarter for "the respectful Instagram replacement for the masses" only to learn from @dansup that Pixelfed aims at artistic photography. Then I find the absence of roadmaps an important issue of the project. Imho
