Today, the temperature dropped and it's really cold outside. The cat kept hiding her kittens in ramdom places around the house. Just this morning, she found a box under the stairs and placed one of her kittens there. They're just 12-days old. My mom and aunt appointed themselves the babysitters. Maybe they really miss having a kid at home but my cousins and I wouldn't give them grandkids so they've turned their attention towards the cats instead.

Today, I went out for some errands. At the mall, I saw a lot of dads with their kids. It was an amazing sight. Growing up, tending to children has always been a mother's task. Plus I didn't get to experience growing up with a father, so I find it amusing to see those dads carrying babies, picking up kids from school, pushing strollers. The moms weren't with them. It was just them and their kids.

It may not seem like a big deal to others but it is. At least for someone like me.

127 years ago today, #Freemason #Filipino-Chinese Dr. José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda, was executed by #Spain's #Spanish overlords, and Roman #Catholic Church priests, in the #Philippines.

On December 30, 1896, he was walked from his prison in #Intramuros to Bagumbayan (later called: #Luneta and then #RizalPark) in #Manila. It's more or less 2 km by [modern] road.

The main/primary monument for Rizal is located 100m SSE of where he was shot by the #Spaniards.

Okay. Appointment got pushed back. I still have time to browse through this app. Haven't been as active as I used to.

Here's what I realized this year: I can survive without social media. Since I left the bird app, I realized it's not as necessary as I thought it would be. I can go on weeks without posting and it's okay. I haven't opened Facebook either. My Messenger notifs are turned off. I visit Instagram only a few days a week. It generally helped with my mental health.

The year is almost over and I'm taking the time to thank 2023 for being a year full of lessons. It has been a challenging year for me and my family. We lost a family member to cancer early this year. We were also challenged financially. One aunt started showing signs of Dementia. But here we are at the end of the year. Still getting by. Still okay. Still happy.

I might be busy tomorrow, so I'm wishing you all a happy new year. May we all be happy and fulfilled in 2024 😘

I have been busy these days. I started decluttering yesterday. I moved and changed the position of my furniture and was satisfied with the outcome. I've made plans for our New Year's Eve menu. Tomorrow, I'll be out shopping.

It's only a few days before 2023 ends. I hope we all get our happy endings.

Everyone is busy preparing for Christmas Eve. I think I spent majority of my time in the kitchen. My family will have a feast tonight.

I wish everyone happiness and fulfillment. Merry Christmas!

Finally back online after a few hours of no internet connection. Somehow, it has been a productive day without the distraction. I managed to finish preparing my 2024 journal, I folded the laundry, cleaned a bit and played with the kitten. Tonight, I'll probably catch up with Welcome to Samdal-ri.

It's a good day to do the laundry. I watched the sheets while listening to Bigbang this morning. The weather was perfect all throughout the day. This afternoon, I finally was in the mood to fold the clothes that have been piling up on the ironing board.

Tomorrow will be a more relaxed day I think. I might have the time to make desserts in the morning.

Today, I had a busy morning. As soon as my housemates left, I immediately started making puto to make it in time for their return. It's been a while since I last became in charge of the kitchen. Thankfully, the puto turned out well.
