@discordapp please fix your update mechanism. It is outrageous that I understand discord has an update, just because a video call failed and I have to remember to `killall Discord` to see that it actually auto-updated...

ADHD is a real struggle.Today I almost made my daughter miss her karate test for yellow belt (we made it, she took it) by simply missing to recognize the message in the group chat saying test will start 1h earlier, so we land 40 minutes late, me slowly realizing what is happening. Sensei accepted her and she was let through the test.

Having fun trying to optimize some Yii2 code we wrote long time ago that does way too many queries... 3 tables in the target db cause ~70-80 queries to update and validate some stuff... Framework code is not always optimal, but more often I think we use the framework in a wrong way.

Nothing beats the joy of a new laptop and fresh #ubuntu :)

It's getting a bit surreal - people are now actively working on the "replace human" project... AI-first, remove people or even the Musk's chip or now Altman working on gen-mod babies to "fix them" of some deceases...
Sounds surreal and unknown and I'm pretty close to thinking it's all a "the popular boys sharing their own perv hobies" kind of marketing....

Why did #asana have to update the menu bar in such a crappy way? I had the comfortable "Minimized" state where the whole menu was a tiny strip of Icons and I could do stuff on hover.... now it's either not there or taking a quarter of the screen.

Any UX dev there?
