The interactions I have in NH are wild sometimes. I go to the store every day because my stupid autistic brain changes what I'll eat daily. This helps prevent food waste and saves me money.
The guy in front of me at the register slammed two bags of frozen peas on the belt and proudly proclaims to the cashier "I JUST GOT A VASECTOMY" Then after he leaves, she goes "I don't know why he got one. It's not like he has any women to fuck"
Don't worry. She said she knows the guy so it's ok π€£Just random NH things...
Folks, this week, a separate lawsuit from the one I've been helping with for the last NINE YEARS, won against 3M and Dupont in regards to PFAS cleanup. We've known for ages that PFAS are very VERY bad for the health of humans and other living beings. This 450 million dollar settlement will go toward remediation of both the Chambers Works facility I grew up next to, and the Repaupo site as well.
This is a very tiny drop in the bucket when it comes to the amount of money it will take to clean the mess up at Chambers Works, but it's a start. The case Carneys Point Twp had brought against Dupont, asks for a dollar amount based upon an industry agreed upon calculation method for cleanup costs. In 2016, that number was one BILLION dollars. Almost ten years later, it's going to take more money than that to get this sorted out.
Even then, that's just cleaning up that one property. The impacts of a century worth of Dupont's toxic legacy lives on in the air, water, soil, and lives of the people in the communities surrounding the complex.
I need to continue fighting this fight, because the more I use my big mouth to bring sunshine to this murky mess, the more successes we have against these corporations. There's a bunch of bloodwork I need to get done, like the level of PFAS in my body, and it's not cheap... even with insurance. I created a gofundme to try to cover this cost. The only way to win is with the truth, and I can't prove the truth without the money. If you can't donate, please consider sharing with the folks you know, so I can continue to fight for clean air, water, and soil for ALL of the humans on this fragile blue marble we call Earth.
