Not sure if the pup is having a lot of pain in his back or if he is just out of it from pain meds

Just my two scents
My mom’s mom passed away yesterday at home in Singapore. She was 97 years old and for the past while has not been mobile nor aware of people, so this was a release for her from the bonds of this world. RIP Por-Por. Here she is in a picture from 10 years ago.
