I teach for fun
@dessie52 when I was first diagnosed with T1 diabetes 52+ years ago my condition related waste consisted of two steel needles, a wad of cotton wool two empty vials of insulin, each month. The alcohol was reused in a spirit lamp, to light tilley lamp's & generally as a fire lighter.
Everything else was reused for 20+ years.
Now I get a 40 litre box delivered every month of supplies, I still use two vials of insulin & 2AA, 2 CR 2023 batteries/month, but the, rest plastic, lasts max 3 days.
Protecting the environment is everyone's responsibility, but much of the waste we send to the landfill comes from products which offer no sustainable alternative. (Take a moment to inventory the plastics in your home.) What can I, the consumer, do to improve this situation? #environment #plastics #sustainability
That's a really beautiful color!

Sometimes, I need to think about something upside-down to get the benefit from it. I was getting very annoyed with incel dudes the other day, and then I had a realization. Incel dudes wouldn't exist if women were still having sex with them. That's a great thing! Their existence means women are making good choices for themselves, and more often, choosing to be with people that view them as humans, not objects. In addition, women not having sex with them, also means incels aren't having children, which means there is less of a chance that their stupid ideas getting spread to innocent children.

Society is going through growing pains. Things have changed, and certain people want to shove that change back in a box, but that's a very difficult thing to do. Knowledge is incredibly powerful. So, many of the things these evil people are trying to stop have already happened, it's too late for them. We have to hold on, and keep teaching. We have worth, they are afraid of us, because we know it.

Whenever I sit at my spinning wheel I feel like I'm rather proficient.

And then I watch a video like this one and realize: I'm barely a beginner. At best.
